How to turn Automatic update off for IE10 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I am currently using a 2012 R2 server and want to set all our PC's to not automatically update IE due to using a patching suite and sandbox,

Is there a way of doing this trough GPO rather than using the IE 10 Blocker Toolkit?

Cheers for your help in advance,

    Thanks,

    Gavin Doris

  • Hello Gavin,

Can you have a look at this ARTICLE.

If the above article don't solves your problem then there is no other way of blocking IE 10 updates without using Blocker Toolkit, IMO.

  • Hi Gavin ,

Fahadking07 has provided a guide for deploying IE 11 blocker toolkit, the instruction is similiar to IE 10 blocker toolkit.

Could you please tell us the reason why you don't want to use IE 10 Blocker Toolkit? As I know, it's not a hard job to deliver the toolkit via GPO, and it's a good solution to achieve your goal, if you have encountered any issues about deploying the toolkit, please free let us know.
