Info for file NetworkUXBroker.exe RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have no problem with the file NetworkUXBroker.exe.  We saw it in our Windows 10 Pro Task Manager and wanted to know about the file.

We have searched online for info on the file and all indications points it’s a Microsoft apps.

Just by the name 'NetworkUXBroker.exe' we assume it seems to do with network and some search results point to wireless networks.

We have ran AntiVirus, AntiSpam, AntiMalware on it and all results are 'clean'.

All resulting online searches are mostly related to driver-related, PC crashes and viruses check resulting as to safe apps, but no actual info as to what the apps mis used for in Windows 10.

We have also search other MS resources such as Microsoft Community, Microsoft Social, MSDN, Microsoft TechNet and Microsoft Communities, but no avail.

So we decided to ask Technet:

    What is NetworkUXBroker.exe use for?

What problem would come if we uninstalled it?

  • Well NetworkUXBroker.exe is not in my task list (there is a NetworkUXBroker.dll on the system) so it would appear this related to Wifi. As you not a lot of info about this on line, but what further do you want to know? Any reason you are looking at this file in particular? If appear a Windows file to me, and as a 'guess' Network User eXperience'. So perhaps try ending the process see what does not work.

Try removing wifi to see if it goes, that way would at least tell you it is used by Windows for wifi.
