DPM Prerequisite Check Failed: SQL Native Client Configuration Issue RRS feed

  • Trying to install DPM R2 on Windows Server 2008 R2 and getting the error:

    DPM requires SQL Native Client Configuration TCP\IP to be enabled.Enable SQL Native Client Configuration TCP\IP on the DPM machine.

    but SQL Native Client Configuration TCP\IP was already enabled on both SQL Server and DPM machine

  • I'm having the same problem and it's driving me nuts. I have both DPM and SQL server on the same box. I started with an error saying the SQL server didn't have TCP/IP enabled (it did!). I think the problem here was SQL server was configured for dynamic ports.

    Anyway after fixing the server error I'm getting the same error that the SQL Native Client doesn't have TCP/IP enabled when it does and on the default 1433. 

    Did you find a solution for this?
