    Hello All,

     

    I recently tried to create a DVD for the first time and it failed.

     

    It stated it was an "Unspecified Error".

     

    Previously to this error, I had tried, but forgotten to enter a temporary file directory and it said something about a "Catastrophic Failure".

     

    I am using DVD +R disks.

     

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Same here.  I get to 48% and then "Unspecified Error"   Everything I'm trying to burn was shot with the same Sony Camera.   If it's a codec issue, how do I solve it, and why doesn't the error message give me something more helpful?

     

    The only reason I bought a new computer was so I could put our baby's movies onto DVD.   Very disappointed with Vista so far.
