Poor sound quality in Lync recordning RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are planning to use Lync recording to capture lectures from our teachers Lync clases. The problem is that the sound quality of the Lync recordning converted to .wmv is so bad that is nearly useless. This is to bad while Lync is working wery well for live lectures, and the students is waiting to get better recordnings.

As i see it the issue is that the video/audio stream is to compressed. Does Microsoft plan to release an patch or do we have to wait for the next version?

Here is an example that is not from our organization, but the sound is exactly as in our enviroment. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgOJmozHtVc

  • Hi Kmm,

As I know, the recording quality depends on the hardware of the recorder, such as audio\video devices, CPU and memory.

In addition, provide another post about convert Live Meeting Recordings to WMV format for reference.
