Error when activating Reporting Services Integration in SharePoint 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm attempting to setup a Reporting Services 2008R2 instance integrated with SharePoint 2010.  In Central Admin after I setup the url and account and click ok I receive that the Reporting Services Integration activation failed for my farm.  I then tried to Activate the Reporting Services Integration feature in Site Collection Features and receive the error below. When looking through different posts people have received this error when trying to define custom content types, however I'm receiving it when trying to Activate the feature.

"The content type with Id 0x010100C3676CDFA2F24E1D949A8BF2B06F6B8B defined in feature {e8389ec7-70fd-4179-a1o4-6fcb4342d7a0} was found in the current site collection or in subsite"

  • I found that the Reporting Services Content Types were available in a sub-site that was 3 levels deep, however they were not available at the top level site collection.  I could not delete them and found no way to remove them so I ended up deleting the sub-site.  Once that was deleted I was able to activate the feature.

  • I am getting the same error.  We migrated our site from MOSS to 2010 and I was trying to test our report capability ... noticed that "report builder" wasn't an option and saw that the "rs integration" was not activated at the site collection.  I clicked"activate " and recieved the same error as you.  I see you have no responce ... I will continue to google the error.

  • Hello,

Appearntly the feature may have failed to install all required content types. Could you please try and reinstall rsSharePoint.exe and ensure the features are installed correctly.

  • You need to go into PowerShell and activate it there using Enable-SPFeature -identity "ReportServer" -URL https://yoursitecollection -Force
