  • UAC could be the problem. If the machines are not part of a domain, then every credential that is used to remotely connect will automatically be downgraded to guest level permissions by UAC, even if those credentials are part of that machine’s administrators group. 

    If they are domain joined, then you must use domain credentials that are part of the local machine’s administrators group. By default, the Domain Admins group is a member of every domain joined local machine’s administrators group. UAC will only maintain privileges for domain accounts.

    Your option is to either disable UAC or use the registry modification discussed in the Wiki article you mentioned.
