Project Server 2013 possibilities RRS feed

  • Question

  • I was wondering if in PS2013 the following is possible:

    1) Is it possible to have a custom project field that is displayed in the project centre view and the values are calculated and displayed as a total in the Group by row? In project server 2010 it seemed this wasn’t possible you had to do this manually.

    2) In PS 2010 in the Project Centre it seems random as to why sometimes you can filter from the column heading and sometimes you can’t.  Is this resolved in PS2013?

  • Hello RedNerd13

A lot of formulas can be created and used in the Project Enterprise calculated field.  You particular request is not available.  You would need to build an add-in that did this calculation for you and hook up to the event in server settings.

    2) The filter is not so much random as some data types to not filter. Same behavior is in project 2013.

    cheers!

  • Ah thanks for letting me know, is there a list somewhere that defines the types of fields you can and cannot filter?
