Releasing held click to open item doesn't work in Win7 quick launch menu RRS feed

  • Question

  • Releasing a held click to open an item doesn't work in the Win7 quick launch menu.  I have to make the extra effort of releasing the click and then clicking again on the item to run it.  This behavior is inconsistent with the start menu and normal program menus--which doesn't have this problem.  Can this be fixed?

  • Hi TsunamiZ,

When did the issue first occur? Please check if the issue occurs in Clean Boot to check the issue. If the issue disappears in the Clean Boot environment, you can continue to narrow down which entry is causing the issue.

If the issue persists, you can remove and re-add the Quick Launch bar to check the issue:

    1.     Right click on the Taskbar and then point to Toolbars.

    2.     Uncheck Quick Launch.

    3.     Refer to this knowledge base (KB) article to re-add Quick Launch bar: Guided Help: Enable the Quick Launch bar in Windows 7

    What is the result?

Also, you can create a new user account to check the result.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Linda
