Forefront Client Security Scaning at User Login RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have 115 servers running Forefront Client Security.  All of the servers run at their scheduled time correctly, but about 20 or so also start a scan at ever user login.  I have the scheduled scan run at 11PM so it doesn't impact the environment, but when a user logs in during regular business hours it sucks the life out of the resources.  Why is a scan running at user login?

    Thanks,

    Josh

  • Hi,

    Thank you for posting.

I agree with Johan. If a client computer is offline for two consecutive scheduled scans, Client Security starts a scan the next time someone logs on to the computer. For more information, please refer to the following link.

  • Hi!

Not sure if this sheds any light over your problem but the scanning behavior of FCS is that if a scheduled scan is missed twice in a row (for some reason) the scan runns at next
    login.

    Does that help?
