Windows Update Error 8002F8F RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there,

I have a strange situation here going on.

    I have a fresh installed Server 2012 R2.

I joined my Domain and everything seemed fine. Now Windows Update tells me Error Code: 80072F8F.

The Date and Time Settings are correct. The Timezone is correct.

    Any ideas?

    Regards,

    Christoph

  • If you are using WSUS, this might be related to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2959977

  • Nope this Update did not resolve the issue ...

I have a problem with opening Websites too.

Internet Explorer tells me: Waiting for msn.com ...

But it won't open any pages.

All of the Support / Scan Tools from Microsoft fail because they all want to download some bulls....

Is there anything I can do?

  • so...there is no internet connection going to that server and WSUS can't contact Microsoft Updates to pull anything down by the sound of it? should it connect directly to the internet or should you be defining proxy options?

  • Hey,

no there is no Internet Connection but I can connect per RDP over IP. I can ping to the Internet (eg. google.com)

The server should connect directly to the Internet without any Proxy Settings.

  • Hey there,

nice try, but as I mentioned before we have the correct time settings. And as soon as I try to synchronize the server tells me the time is correct.

It is no time - problem!!

I also tried the Windows Update Diagnostic Tool and it telled me the following:
