Header/Footer Gallery blank RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm in a real pinch.  I have a project to submit and they want the title and page number in the Header.  When I click on header, no gallery comes up, it's just a blank screen.  I understand from researching this that there should be a whole page of header options, but again, I get nothing.  I don't need a fancy header, but I can't get the page number and a basic text header to line up (when I right-justify it, the text lays over the page number).  Any insight would be really appreciated.

  • To make changes in an existing header, double-click the header area so that Word activates it. You can position content using tab stops (or possibly by inserting tables without borders).

As far as the missing building block galleries are concerned, note that you can repair the galleries by exiting Word and renaming the Built-In Building Blocks.dotx file, which you'll find in your Windows user profile.
