  • Is it possible to block only Subject not the email id.

This external user is genuine but my user dont wants to receive the emails with subject XYZ. he says to block emails with this subject XYZ not external user. is it possible

  • Hi!

It is built-in functional in Exchange Transport Rules.
+ add filter "The sender is External"

  • In addition to Evgeny asnwer, just remember to click on "More options" inside the New Rule window (otherwise the Subject options will not be available)

  • Yes, but not exactly.

In Outlook you can create rule with subject filter, but not delete message. Only move message to specific folder (Deleted Items, for example)

  • Hi Risingflight,

Evgeny is right, inbox rule only process the messages which are arrived in the mailbox, if you want to prevent the specify subject email sending to the specify mailbox, transport rule would be your first choice.
