Powershell copy NTFS rights RRS feed

  • Question

  • In our company we use robocopy to copy folders with their NTFS permissions. But after some research we found out that powershell is way faster for copying folders over to another server.

Is there a way to copy folders with their NTFS permissions?

  • Hi,

    yes there is! (Lookup Get-Acl & Set-Acl)

How did you measure that performance difference? My personal experience has been quite the opposite so far.

    Cheers,

    There's no place like 127.0.0.1
