    - computer A in LAN, enable Remote Desktop

    - tested remote control computer A by computer B in the LAN (using remote desktop).

    - computer C out of LAN, setted up VPN connection to above LAN

    - tested from computer C to access network driver, connect to printer servers, file server,... ping computer A, B ok.

    - set-up Remote Desktop in C to connect to A, but always false!!!

  • i think we may be having the same problem . I could get mine to connect without a router. I assume with a comp a and b that you have a router installed. if so connect one pc directly to the modem, get IP  and try to connect from outside comp. if works we have the same seiminly impossable to fix problem .

  • You can easily remote desktop via VPN using tools like Logmein Hamachi, R-HUB remote support servers, Teamviewer, logmein etc.
