  • Hi Nico,

You want to restore version 4.0.3610 to version 4.0.3318.0, don't you? The issue is related to Office, it is better to get the answer from Office Forum.

As far as I know, it cannot be done since it is not legal. You should purchase the new version and gain its license. However, the product was discontinued effective November 16, 2009 from Microsoft. It is only pre-installed by OEM.

  • Hi Nico,

Before going further, please let me know how did you back up the files? Did you want to restore Office Accounting Express 2009 SP2 on other PC?

I am afraid it cannot be archived since the backup files only can be restored on the initial PC. I suggest installing Microsoft Office Accounting Express 2009 SP2 directly.

  • My laptop (computer #1) has MS Office 2009 version, 4.0.3610

I made a backup copy of my MS Office Accounting Express personal banking file to a flash drive .

My wife’s laptop (computer #2) has MS Office Accounting Express 2009, version 4.0.3318.0  (recently downloaded from the net)

I made a backup copy of my file (XXXXXXCHECKING_2009-06-01.SBB) to a flash drive.

I cannot “restore”  backup copy   (XXXXXXCHECKING_2009-06-01.SBB) from flash drive to  computer #2

I get the following error message:

    Question:

HOW CAN UPGRADE (OR CHANGE ) THE 4.0.3318.0 program version on computer # 2 to match the  4.0.3310.0 on computer #1

    Thank you,

    Nico
