Only given the option to save a PDF file and not open it RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everyone,

I have someone using Windows XP SP3 w/ IE7, trying to download a PDF file but after clicking the link, she is only prompt to save it and not open it. i have tried to disable the pop-up blocker and played around with the download of ActiveX etc but nothing seems to be working.. I have also tried to change the settings in Folder Options and still nothing.

I tried using Firefox and that didnt help because we only saw a white screen.

I did some searching on the web and saw that this was happening in SharePoint 2010 and that there is a setting there..

Would anyone have any idea? Could this be on the other side and my hands are tide?

  • Try upgrading to IE8 and also get the latest version of Adobe reader.
