Win7 Pro 64. How can I associate my batch file as a right-click option in Windows Explorer? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Since the File Types functionality was removed from Folder Options, starting with Vista OS, how do I associate a DOS .bat file to my Windows Explorer usage?

(What I want to end up with is a way to redirect a directory listing to a .txt file, so that I can manipulate the format and contents of my listing.  I do not want to get just the same thing we used to get with

    DIR >PRN     or DIR>LPT1

I need to edit the listing to my unique wishes.)
