  • Hi chazzy1957,

What actions has been done before this error occurred?

Any error messages logged in Event Viewer?

For the error messages you shared above, please take a check at the following two registry settings:

    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

Specially for the AppData value, make sure it is %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming.

You may follow the steps mentioned in the article below:

You receive an "Error 1606" error message when you try to install or remove a Microsoft program

Also remember to run a full PC scan.

    Best regards
