  Thanks for the response, but it turns out all they wants me to do now is setup monitors for external unmonitored computers to ping them every 1 minute or so to see if they respond. They are not in the same work group or network. I just want to have SCE ping a list of IP addresses and e-mail servers periodically and alert if they don't respond. Is this possible in System Center 2007? I know it is in System Center 2010.

  Just for your reference, the Multi-host Ping MP 3.0 could be a powerful tool to meet your requirement.
