Configuring Secondary domain controller RRS feed

  • I have server running as windows server 2012 data center, now i want another server for my branch office which is located geographically far from the existing server location. so now how can i configure secondary domain controller as i want to access full rights and same domain.

  • Hi. Do you have a site set up in AD Sites and Services for the branch office and its subnets added in there and the subnets associated with the site? I don't know your branch office WAN speed, but I think you'll need this from what you say. You can then install the DC and set site link replication schedule, etc. If physical security could be a risk at the branch site you could consider deploying a RODC instead. Hope this helps.
