  • Hi,

    Thank you for the result.

Your SP2 could be a beta version. Please uninstall SP2 to test the result first.

  • Hi,

I had the same problem on a Windows Server 2008 Enterprise and two Windows Vista Laptops. It's true that I did install a beta version of SP2 in April of 2009; uninstalling SP2 from all three of the machines did fix my problem.

  • After that I do a upgrade before it completed blue screen appears.
after login on Windows I find this message. (

This version of Windows could not be installed.
Your previous version of Windows has been restored, and you can continue to use it.  Before trying to install this version of Windows again, check online to see if it is compatible with your computer.  Go to the Microsoft website (www.microsoft.com) and search for "upgrade advisor". )

  • I have the same problem (This pre-release version of Windows Server 2008 Enterprise will expire in 0 hours)

I am getting the message above every 2 hours after which my computer reboots.  My understanding is that this version of Windows Server is a prerelease version and I need to upgrade to the latest version.

I installed Windows Server 2008 SP2, Build 6002 in March 2009.  There is an Update for Windows (KB955430) dated 2/1/2009, but the Programs and Features Control Panel will not let me uninstall it directly.

My question is whether there is some way of upgrading in-place?
