Can't change user password on windows 7 RRS feed

  • Windows 7 domain users can’t change their password it is not given any error. But again and again it is asking “change the password”.

  • Do you have a restriction set for minimum password age? are you able to get out to other network resources. You might be logged in under a cashed profile.

    You may want to try the following steps:

    Change password at logon:

    Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE, and then click Change a password.
    Type your old password (Since no password is set, just leave it blank), type your new password, type your new password again to confirm it, and then press ENTER.

    If that doesn’t help

    Right click Computer select Manage
    On computer management window under System Tools go to Local Users and Groups and select Users
    Right click on “Your User Name” and select properties
    Clear (Uncheck) "User cannot change password">>Click apply ad Ok>>Exit Computer Management.
