  • Question

  • hello forum members,

whats the differences between "Pending Submit" vs "Submitted" timesheet status?

We seem to have a LOT of people with pending submit status timesheet. what can be a cause for this?

    thanks in advance,

  • Hi Tatiana,

If you are using "line approval" before timesheet approval, this status generally means that the timesheet lines are pending approval by the status manager before timesheet gets sent to the status manager.

    Hope this helps,

  • Hi Guillaume,

Your response is unclear. We have the same issue as Tatianna.  We are using Project Online, Not using line approval and have a number of people in the pending submit status.  You said it means that the timesheets are pending Line approval by the Status Manager before being sent to the Status Manager. But if you don't require line approval why would that be.  After reading your response a couple times it clicked what you meant with the status manager approving twice but that doesn't apply if you are not using Line approval.

Any other suggestions.  I have tried having the timesheets recalled and resubmitted and that doesn't always work and there is nothing showing up for the Status Manager to approve.

Thank you for any assistance John
