MDT 2013 Update 2 - Drivers.xml file corrupted - how to recreate from "Out-of-Box Drivers" folder RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I currently face an driver issue on my deploymentshare.

I have section Out-of-Box Drivers structured like Windows7 and there subfolders of the models I have like Latitude E7740 etc.

on same level as Windows/ folder I have a Windows 10 Folder with the same Models and driver folders.

Now somehow I noticed the driver.xml file in folder Control on deploymentshare has reduced it's size and all drivers, listed in the subfolders of the Windows 7 structure are disappeared.

Is there any possibility to re-create the drivers.xml file using the deploymentsharefolder Out-of-Box Drivers?

    Thank you in advance!

  • Copy the \out-of-box drivers folder out of your deployment share, then re-import. All the meta data is stored in the drivers.xml file, so I might even try to fold the old drivers.xml file into the new drivers.xml file manually or via some kind of script.
