SfB keeps old federated domains configuration RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have Sfb with Edge server and one of our customer has moved to Office365.

We deleted the access FQDN from Control Panel but when we do Test-CsFederatedDomain cmdlet or just log when we search for domain, we still see old FQDN.

    How can we delete it?

  • Hi,

could it be possible that your customer has not changed the _sipfederationtls entry and it is still the old one?

Also have you checked your replica? Is it uptodate?

Maybe it is also a good idea to do a DNS flush on the Edge servers.

  • Hi,

DNS is correct (checked on FE and Edge), DNS flushed on all servers.

FE informs that it cannot reach the old access FQDN although it is changed in configuration.

    Replica is up to date.

  • Hi,

Is there any way to see where this information lie in SQL?

  • Hi,

What is the result when you do the test?

According your description, you changed the federation configuration for the domain in control panel. What is the configuration now?

In my understanding, if the domain is hosted in Online, you may run the following commands to configure the federation between on-premise and Online:

    Set-CSAccessEdgeConfiguration -AllowOutsideUsers 1 -AllowFederatedUsers 1 -UseDnsSrvRouting -EnablePartnerDiscovery $True

    New-CSHostingProvider -Identity LyncOnline -ProxyFqdn "sipfed.online.lync.com" -Enabled $true -EnabledSharedAddressSpace $true -HostsOCSUsers $true -VerificationLevel UseSourceVerification -IsLocal $false -AutodiscoverUrl https://webdir.online.lync.com/Autodiscover/AutodiscoverService.svc/root

  • It seems that the Edge server keeps its own data.

When we make Test-CsFederatedPartner FE asks Edge. And if Replication is not in place the Edge server gives back wrong data.

    It was replication problem.
