Task Start and End Dates wouldn't Change with Project Start and End Dates in PWA RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I have been trying to change the Project Start Date in PWA (saved and published after the update). But the start date doesnt change in Project Center!!!

I noticed in Project Pro the "Start Date" and "Projected Start Date" field values in Project Information does change, but task dates are not changing. Please see the attached image.

And this issue is with only one project and projects which are created using this project as template.

Can anyone please throw some light on why this may be happening? Thanks in advance.

Thank you for providing the screenshot, however, it doesn??t show enough information for us to give you a definitive answer.  Some possible reasons for your problem may include:

    1.  Are the tasks Manually Scheduled tasks?
    2.  Do the tasks have Must Start On constraints on them?
    3.  Do the tasks have an Actual Start date specified?

Given the problems you are having with PWA, why don??t you use the Move Project button on the Project ribbon instead of trying to do this in PWA?  Just a thought.  Hope this helps.

  • Hi Dale,

    Thank you for your reply.

I was checking only the Manually Scheduled setting earlier.

Just now noticed that there is "Start no Earlier Than" constraint on all the tasks in the project.

Will remove the constraint and try to update the project. Will update you once verified.

    Thank you once again.

Remove the SNET constraint on each task by changing it back to As Soon as Possible.  Let us know the results and we will try to help.
