System Center Endpoint Protection client on Windows 10 1809 (RS5) RRS feed

  • Question

  • On Win 10 1609 during TS I would install scepinstall_4.10.209.exe which was making Windows Defender Managed

    (C:\Program Files\Managed Defender)

But with 1809 during install (in TS or plain by hand) I get error

So the question is: Do I still need it, or Defender gets managed during SCCM client installation?

    Seb

  • No, you do not need to install SCEP on Windows 10 as of ConfigMgr 1802 (see the second paragraph in the first blue note at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sccm/protect/deploy-use/endpoint-protection-configure).
