  Yes there will be 10 copies of that message - the message and attachment will be stored in each mailbox.

  Single Instance Storage (SIS) is no longer used, starting back in Exchange 2010, because disks are cheap.

  Hi Sajid,

  Exchange Server won't create a reference link itself instead number of copies will be created. So, the solution is you should store file on OneDrive or somewhere else and share the reference link;

  Hi,

  Thanks for contacting our forum. It’ll copy to every single user’s mailbox in the DB.

  Per my knowledge, the SIS was no longer used in Exchange 2010 or later. Removing SIS and redesigning the database schema to permit sequential reads resulted in massive performance improvements (as much as 70% less disk IO for typical behavior).
