Number Codes for Parameters When Setting up CallAnsweringRules with Powershell RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I'm trying to is create a new call answering rule, which will forward all calls directly to the voicemail (no options presented to the caller) when they call after hours. Obviously I will need to set the -TimeOfDay and -KeyMappings parameters correctly to do this, but I haven't been able to find any documentation on the values that can be applied to these parameters.

Through trial and error, on another rule, I found that the -TimeOfDay value of "3,32,08:00,17:00" will apply the policy to all calls arriving on Friday between 8am and 5pm. I'm hoping that someone can point me in the right direction for what values in this parameter - and also the -KeyMappings parameter - translate to when the UMCallAnsweringRule cmdlets are run.

    Thanks in advance

    Harison

  • Hi Harison,

Let me give you a explanation about the value of TimeOfDay

    For example: 3,127,00:00:00,02:00:00

The first number “3” , it mean you set the “the following period” ,if the second number is 2,it means you select the “outside working hours”,if you select “Working hours” , the number is 1

The second number 127 , this number is converted from binary data,if you just select the Sunday ,this binary data is 0000001 ,then 2^0  convert to Decimal is 1 ,if you select the Friday ,the ,this binary data is 0100000 ,then 2^5 convert to Decimal is 32, if you select all options from Sunday to Saturday , ,this binary data is 1111111,then 2^6+2^5+2^4+2^3+2^2+2^1+2^0=127

The second number is time that you selected.

    KeyMappings "1,1,Receptionist,,,,,45678,","5,2,Urgent Issues,23456,23,45671,50,,"

the caller reaches the voice mail for the user and the status of the user is set to Busy, the caller can:

    • Press the 1 key and be transferred to a receptionist at extension 45678.
    • Press the 2 key and the Find Me feature will be used for urgent issues and ring extension 23456 first, and then 45671.

    Best Regards,
