UTF-8 Encoding not working on Facebook or Ebay RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

Since I formatted my Windows 8.1 (wanted to start fresh) the UTF-8 encoding for Spanish characteristics do not work for Facebook or Ebay.

When I say Spanish characteristics, I mean these: áéíóúñ

These are common in the Spanish language. I have a laptop with windows 8.1 aswell and does not have this problem.

    I've tried the following:

    - Restart IE in Internet options.

    - Reinstall IE. (Removing it from windows features, restarting, adding it back and restarting).

    - Changing the encoding on those websites (Right click, encoding, changing language)

    - Compatibility View.

None have worked so far so I'm hoping you guys can help.

    Thanks!
