Compatibility with Windows Server 2016 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello All,

I have to install a new SharePoint 2016 farm on Windows Server 2016.

The client uses Workflow Manager 1.0 CU3 with SharePoint 2013 and wants to migrate this workflow to SharePoint 2016 on Windows 2016.

    My question is:

Can you tell me if Workflow Manager 1.0 CU3 and Workflow Manager Client are compatible (or supported) with Windows 2016 server?

    Thank you.

    Philippe

  • I would look for other solutions as I guess no new version of workflow manager will be released. Kind of dead product now. Dont know about tomorrow if MSFT announce something.

  • i am sure, it is not supported yet and no time frame when it will be.

Check the CU3 notes, which still have 2012r2 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3104066/description-of-the-cumulative-update-3-for-workflow-manager-1.0

  • Thank you for your answer.

I hope an updated will be provided for the client who has developed a lot of workflow in their SharePoint farm.

Is somebody can tell me if we can expect a new version or if we have to convince our client to take another solution?

  • Thank you Waqas for your answer.

Now I have to convince my client to change to a new workflow solution.
