The Case Of The Undeletable Folder RRS feed

  • I Have A folder I created with an invisable charcter as a name  (Alt+0160) it's on my Desktop and I can't delete move or rename i, However i can create and delete files inside of the folder and CMD shows its existence

  • Another way that WORKS in windows VISTA is with the program winRar:


    you have to try to compressing the invisible folder and check the
    option in winRAR that says ‘delete the files after compress’ or
    something like that (I have winRAR in other language).

    Then the invisible folder is deleted and you only have to delete the file made by winRar that windows Vista can delete.

  • I've had an undeletable folder for an uncountable number of months. I've tried renaming it, but it wouldn't. I've tried deleting it, but it would delete, and finally I came upon your post and download winRar, and it WORKED! Thank you so much! That was starting to annoy me so much!
