Setting "Out of office" on Distribution List RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello

    Running Exchange 2007 SP2.

We have a DL - "Marketing Staff", which contains five users. The email address is marketing_dl@domain.com

We'd like it so that if someone sent an email to this DL, they'd get a message like "Thank you for emailing Marketing - someone will get back in due course"

Is this possible in Exchange 2007?

  • I would use a transport rule for this.  Careful though, it could lead to a mail loop.

  • Personally I would use a transport rule before implementing any of those other solutions!
