  • Question

  • Hi

I have two questions, hopefully easy to answer:

Can FOPE scan email content for obscene language and imagery and what are its limitations for incoming mail and attachments?

Can FOPE decide which HT server to send to if an Organisation is geographically dispersed based on the users site location? Can it use LDAP to query the AD etc...?

    Cheers

    Kevin

  • Hi Kevin,

    >Can FOPE scan email content for obscene language and imagery and what are its limitations for incoming mail and attachments?

See here how the antispam mechanism of FOPE is working: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff715086.aspx

    >Can FOPE decide which HT server to send to if an Organisation is geographically dispersed based on the users site location? Can it use LDAP to query the AD etc...?

No, you can only add multiple public IPs to which emails will be forwarded but a LDAP query for locating users is not possible.

  • That's great, looks like the content fileter is pretty rudementory, but it may do the job, shame about LDAP.
