Unable to detect a global catalog server RRS feed

  • Not sure if this was the right area to post but here goes...

    When I go to install Exchange 2007 on my Windows server 2008 r2 member server, it says there is no global catalog server detected.  I have another 2008r2 box functioning as the DC, and have already checked to make sure it is a GS server.  I know the member server is on the domain properly - checked the DNS settings and the primary DNS server is the DC, and I can log in with the enterprise admin account (and I verifed it is still on the domain in the advanced computer settings).

    Both boxers are VMs on MS Azure.  

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Try to see if you are able to get to the GC from the exchange server using TCP 3268

    If there are multiple DCs in organization, please make sure DC replicate without any problems. If the issue persist, we could refer to the following link to install a new server in the Global Gatalog server role by the following link:
