PWA Resources can't close and check back in after editing RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to enter vacation schedules into my resources schedule, and following all the steps here :

    http://www.mpug.com/articles/when-are-you-working-updating-a-resource-calendar/

but I cannot complete the last step for closing and checking in the resources back the PWA.

When I click close, it gives me this pop up.

When I click "Yes", it just brings me back to the below resource page.

I cannot close this project out without saying "No" to the pop up, which then doesn't save them back to the Enterprise database.

Is this a permissions problem? I cannot seem to find out a fix for this.

    Thanks,

  • Check the second last record seems , it is not completed and may be you have some white spaces. Try to select records below and delete the rows.

    This may help.

  • I checked all the records. They seem complete to me. I believe the white space on the second to last record was because the last name was too long. I expanded the "Resource Name" column so the name fits now, and I tried deleting the empty rows below resource 16, but neither helped and I still cannot save/check in the file.

    Any other ideas?

  • You cant update the resource this way. Its managed by the enterprise resource pool. You have to update the resource thru the enterprise resource pool.

    Cheers!

  • I thought opening the resources from the PWA app using the "Open" command in the "Resource Center" was the way to update the resource thru the enterprise resource pool.

I am opening them from the below area. Am I supposed to open/update them from somewhere else?
