Bluescreen error unexpected restart RRS feed

  • Question

  • Since I put windows 7 on my computer (upgrade from vista), I have had an issue with the computer unexpectadly restarting. This particularly happens just after I have turned the computer on (perhaps 3 times), and when I shut down, it will not always shutdown first time. However, this also randomly happens some hours after I have had it turned on. It goes to a blue screen, and then runs through a restart.  I have just completed a clean install, but the problem still remains. I don't know what to try next, and because it is happening more frequently, it is making it difficult to use reliably. I would welcome advice - thanks. The problem signature information I have received is:

  • It is also helpful to take a look at the dumps with the Debugging Tools for Windows.

Please start the Windows Explorer and go to the folder C:\Windows\Minidump. Next, copy the dmp files to your desktop, zip all dmp into 1 zip file and upload the zip file to your Skydrive [1] and post a link here, so that I can look at the dumps with the debugger and to to see the cause of the crash.
