  • Question

  • Hi ALL,

We were using project workspace list viewer web part  in project server 2010 which came along with solution starter 2010 to display the list , document library contents from project site to the project web app instance.. Can anyone suggest me how we can display the contents from project site to Project online 2013.

    Thanks in advance

  • InfoPath might do the trick.  Build a form with a data connection back to the site in question.  In theory, that should work in the cloud.

  • I don't think the project web part will work because the web part is designed based on SharePoint 2010 and Project Online is based on SharePoint 2013 architect.  Also, the database structures are different in Project 2010 and Project Online.   So an educated quess would be that it will not work across the different platform.

The site template will be having document repository and lists. i need to access these lists and documents while i am in the middle of workflow.

Hope you can understand our requirement . kindly help me to proceed further. Thanks in advance

  • I have posted a simple solution in GitHub.  I wrote a javascript solution that queries the workspace url and displays the project site list in an iframe.  I also published a sandbox solution to deploy and provide a web part like the 2010 webpart, see https://github.com/EPMPartners/ProjectWorkspaceListViewer/releases

    Good luck.
