Hello,
The SNMP service is responsible for intercepting events (traps) from the SNMP subagents, such as Lmmib2.dll, evntagnt.dll and Inetmib1.dll, and forwarding trap messages to the appropriate management systems. The trap is generated by the SNMP subagents. A third party application may also use the SNMP framework to generate a trap.
If you would like to send SNMP traps when some specific events are logged, you may use the evntcmd.exe tool.

If you want a trap sent whenever authentication fails in SNMP, you can select the “Send authentication trap” option.
