'consider replacing battery' and new battery will not charge, flashing light


  • Toshiba Satellite: So after 2 new battery's were installed, only flashing light, will not charge, will not even turn on. When I install the old battery it come on.

  • Sounds strictly like a hardware problem with either the batteries and/or the hardware charging circuits in the Toshiba laptop and nothing controlled by Windows.

    Are the new batteries listed in the device manager?
    If it is listed, try to update the driver from the device manager.

    For a third party product, it is recommended to ask for help from the Toshiba support. They are more familiar with their product and they may have more resources to help you.
