a problem with readyboost.. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I have Vista Ultimate 64 bit, and 8 GB RAM installed, I knew that it's better that the additional readyboost memory be like one to three times as the real one, that means I can make use of 8,16, or 24 GBs from any compatible flash drive, I installed this KingMax 16 GB flash and the feature is automatically activated, but the track bar is only up to 4 GB, I applied, then checked the flash, and indeed there was left only about 11 GB for file storage, I went again to the readyboost tab to find that it is supporting now up to 8 GB additional RAM, I thought that I will succeed gradually in investing all the flash as RAM, but I'm stuck at 4 GB, because when I clicked apply for 8 GB, nothing changed.
    Thank you.

  • Thanks for interest, but I think there is still a bug because the trackbar showed virtual amount.

This is because I'm one of Microsoft's many lovers, and I have lot of ideas that I want to discuss.
