  • my hp computer is saying that the charger is plugged in but its not charging how can fix this. i need to   know if its a driver problem or is it a bad battery.  i have a windows 7 professional. hp G3 notebook PC

    How long have you been using your laptop?
    Battery has its life-span. It varies by model and usage, but charging over 500 - 1,000 times, battery comes to end of its life-span.

    HP provides some diagnostics tool. Please download & install it, and check if your battery is working.

    When you plug the charger, did the screen get lighten?

    Since there may be many reasons that leading to this problem, you can refer this link to trouble shoot it.

    Seeing if it is caused by windows problem, charger problem, battery problem,Inernal Motherboard problem.
