Error message from SNA HIP RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to standup a SNA HIP in HIS2010.  The HIP SNA is getting an error.

HISEHPG0003 HIPGen was unable to resolve to a flow control engine for a request from M13CICSA with resolution information PCM1149.

I cannot find the error message anywhere.  Can sometell me where the HIS 2010 error messages are?

  • Rob,

Thanks forthe reply.  Was I am doing is a LU 6.2 HIP. The remote LU is M13CICSA, and the TP name PCM1149.  The CICS program EXEC CICS CONNECT PROCESS.  Is there anywhere these error messages are documented?

    I have found more info

  • From this error, it appears that the APPC application PCM1049 is not running or is not configured correctly so that it cannot be executed when the request comes in.

  • Hi Frank, I have no clue if the error messages are cunningly hidden in the docs, or just not there. However, the message above indicates that the configuration you have done for HIP does not contain information for PCM1149. I would say, writing from memory, that you have received something from the remote partner M13CICSA, and either PCM1149 is the name of the local LU, or it is the name of a Transaction, and the resolution information in the HIP configuration doesn't indicate what to do with this.

Basically, after we have been contacted by a remote system, we have to work out 2 things: which sort of "flow control" (protocol handler) is needed (e.g. TCP TRM, TCP ELM, SNA Link) and after the "flow control" has done some work, it can give a "resolution string" which is then used to determine the Object and Method to call. In your case, we are failing on the first of these.

  • Hi Frank,

I can provide the error Code explanantion :

    X'084B6031' AP_TRANS_PGM_NOT_AVAIL_RETRY

Requested resources not available: Resources named in the request, and required to honor it, are not currently available. It is not known when the resources will be made available.

Transaction program not available—retry allowed: The FMH-5 attach command specifies a transaction program that the receiver is unable to start. Either the program is not authorized to run or the resources to run it are not available at this time. The condition is temporary. The sender is responsible for subsequent retry. This sense data is sent only in FMH-7.

     X'084C0000' AP_TRANS_PGM_NOT_AVAIL_NO_RETRY

Permanent insufficient resource: Receiver cannot act on the request because resources required to honor the request are permanently unavailable. The sender should not retry immediately because the situation is not transient. This error can occur if MAXBFRU is either not read because of a coding error or not coded.

0000 For LU 6.2, transaction program not available—no retry: The FMH-5 Attach command specifies a transaction program that the receiver is unable to Request reject sense code 084B 50 z/OS V1R9.0 Comm Svr: IP and SNA Codes

start. The condition is not temporary. The sender should not retry immediately. This sense data is sent only in FMH-7.

     X'10086021' AP_TP_NAME_NOT_RECOGNIZED

Invalid FM header: The FM header was not understood or translatable by the receiver, or an FM header was expected but not present. For LU 6.2, this sense code is sent in FMH-7 or UNBIND.

     X'10086031' AP_PIP_NOT_ALLOWED

PIP not allowed: The FMH-5 attach command specifies that program initialization parameter (PIP) data is present, but the receiver does not support PIP data for the specified transaction program. This sense data is sent only in FMH-7.

     X'10086032' AP_PIP_NOT_SPECIFIED_CORRECTLY

PIP not specified correctly: The FMH-5 attach command specifies a transaction program name that requires program initialization parameter (PIP) data, and either the FMH-5 specifies PIP data is not present or the number of PIP subfields present does not agree with the number required for the program. This sense data is sent only in FMH-7.

     X'10086034' AP_CONVERSATION_TYPE_MISMATCH

Conversation type mismatch: The FMH-5 attach command specifies a conversation type that the receiver does not support for the specified transaction program. This sense data is sent only in FMH-7.

     X'10086041' AP_SYNC_LEVEL_NOT_SUPPORTED

Synchronization level not supported: The FMH-5 attach command specifies a synchronization level that the receiver does not support for the specified transaction program. This sense data is sent only in FMH-7.

     X'080F6051' AP_SECURITY_NOT_VALID

End user not authorized: The requesting end user does not have access to the requested resource.

6051 Access security information not valid: The request specifies an access security information field that is not acceptable to the receiver; for security reasons, no further detail about the error is provided. This sense data is sent in FMH-7 or UNBIND. VTAM hint: A security protocol error has been detected in an RU received from the remote LU or transaction program. For persistent verification, VERIFY and PV must be coded on the conversation security level (CONVSEC) in the RACF® profile.

  • From this error, it appears that the APPC application PCM1049 is not running or is not configured correctly so that it cannot be executed when the request comes in.
