  • Hi,

f12>Emulation tab, to find out which IE emulation mode your un-named website is using. Media queries are supported in IE11.

f12>Emulation tab>Display>Emulation to choose a screen size to emulate.

Post questions about html, css and scripting for website development to stackoverflow.com (the IE and MS Edge team hang out there). If possible please include a link to your website or a mashup (jsfiddle.com) with your questions about web site programming.

see also the bootstrap support forums.

  • Sure, I can post there. Are you saying it is a waste of time posting to MS forums nowadays?

  • I am also having rather a strange problem. My media queries are not executed on a first run. I have to force screen repaint like pressing Alt button to get it executed. Any idea why is this happening?

    Thanks

  • Hi markgoldin,

Considering the Bootstrap is a third party product and we are not familiar with that product, it is recommended to contact bootstrap support forums for help. Anyway, if it would work with previous version. We could try the compatibility mode or use the F12 tool to choose the mode.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Best regards.

  • Not sure what you mean by 'previous version'. Also what about media queries not being executed?

After changing resolution to default and back to 1024x768:

  • Hi,

the MSDN web development forum has been moved to stackoverflow (for non-MSDN subscribers).

jsfiddle allows you to prototype a sandbox using one of the wild versions of bootstrap... (we can read code better than pretty pictures of chrome. In the IE dev tool emulation tab there is an option to choose a custom resolution.

for help with designing and coding with interoperable adaptive layouts see the MS Documentation.

to see if your current emulation mode of IE11 supports media queries see caniuse.com
