SCSM HTML5 Portal - Incomplete request submission with End User User Role - HTTP 500 Error - Event 26319 RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have SCSM 2012 R2 UR8, HTML5 Portal, with Hotfix KB3124091 installed.

When we open the HTML5 Portal with a user in the Advanced Operator User Role, we can submit a request without any problems, can see requests under My Requests and activities under My Activities.

If we open the HTML5 Portal with a user in the End User User Role, we can submit the request, but upon submission we get an HTTP 500 Error.  Event 26319 also gets generated on the Secondary SCSM\web server with the following message.  The service request does get created, but if the service request template has any activities, the activities do not get created.  The service request does correctly list the Affected User, but the Created By User is null.

When I add the user to the Advanced Operator User Role, the request gets created correctly, with activities and all.

    Any help will be helpful.

  • Hello,

What happens if you try to submit the default generic IR on the front page? You should see a button that says 'Create Request'. The issue seems like have something to do with permissions in the user role.

    Regards,
