Populating manager accountname from Hr feed to manager in MIM RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Team,

From my HR feed I have manager sAmaccountname which I have casted to type Reference Dn in HR Management Agent (HR MA).

I have mapped the above attribute to manager field of MIM in HR sync rule.

While running the HR MA Full Synchronization , the new manager is not being picked up.Please help and suggest what should I do to populate the manager from HR to MIM

  • - Map sAMAccountName to Manager in HR MA Import (As you have done seems,)

    - Map Manager to Manager in MIM MA export

    - Check order of precedence, Where HR has the higher precedence, HR=1, MIM = 2

  • I have set the  HR MA precedence of manager field higher than MIM MA(MIM Management Agent).

The problem is ,it is not updating the manager .It is holding the same value. Can you please suggest .

    Thanks in advance.

  • Has the manager changed in HR? If yes, has the sAMAccountName of manager been updated in HR MA? When you do an import in HR MA, see if the sAmaccountname of Manager is changed.

Do a full sync on HR MA.

From your screen shot, seems the manager has been removed in HR but no new manager has replaced him\her on this users properties.

  • Hi All,

I have EMPID as an anchor attribute in HR feed management agent. I am putting Manager's employee Id in SupervisorID (feed file attribute) .I have defined EMPID of String type and SupervisorID  of Reference type in HR MA.

In HR Sync Rule I have mapped SupervisorID to manager (MIM attribute). After configuring all these above , it is still taking the manager defined in MIM instead of not picking up the manager from feed. For further reference please look into my above screenshot

Can you please point me out if I am missing anything else ?

    Thanks in advance.

  • The only thing to check is Order of precedence.  I know you said it is correct, but there is nothing else I can think off.

  • Hi!

Does this happen for all managers or just some?
