all files opening read-only after installing AIP RRS feed

  • Question

  • after installing AIP client on the machine I lost all coauthoring options, 'auto-save', live editing etc. all files open as read-only with a warning bar, requiring to start editing with lockout.

i'm not referring to protected files, but it's like the feature was totally disabled on all files and office applications. similar effect is when the library is set to require checkout.

is that normal behavior? does it mean that introducing AIP trade-off is entire live coediting feature?
