Dashboards and screen resolution RRS feed

  • Question

  • I originally developed a dashboard using 1680x1050 screen resolution -- and it looked good since it all fit on the screen/display (no need to scroll or use elevator bars).  With other end users however using a 1024 x 768 resolution, the dashboard did not come particularly close to fitting on the screen.

I went back and redid the dashboard checking that all items in all zones used "auto-width", and still the dashboard doesn't fit nicely on the screen.  Note that I could not reset the font size on the scorecard column headers -- I set those to a font size of 10, but it seems by default they have an "blank"/indeterminate font size.

So in short my question is:  is it possible to have a dashboard always fit on a single view/frame irrespective of an end user's screen resolution, or if not that if the screen resolution varies between 1076x768 to 1680x1050?  Thanks.

  • What you can do assign fixed width and/or height to items in the dashboard excluding filters.
