  • Hi,

First off you need to make sure that your card reader is compliant or supports SDHC cards. You also need to ensure that the driver for this reader is the most up to date driver as per the manufacturer website.

There is a hotfix for Windows XP which deals with the capacity issue: See: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/934428

  • That question cannot be answered since it depends on the make, model, and series of your SD reader.

If your reader is a few years old it may not be capable of reading SDHC cards.

You need to go to the manufacturer website to check the specifications and for any drivers needed for Windows XP.

Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. ”
